I am honored to be one of the girl's cross country captains! This is my fifth year being a part of the cross country team. I could not be more excited for the coming season and cannot wait to see the great things the team will do this season. Go Wildcats!!
My name is Jan Estrada and I was born in the Island of Puerto Rico. I moved to the United States when I was 13 years old due to new job opportunities for my family. Running is not just a sport to me but a daily activity I do for fun. I formally started running as a sport in my 9th grade of high school. Other than running I like playing other sports with friends during weekends. I also like music. I enjoy singing, and playing the piano on my free time. I hope that I can continue my running career through college and be successful with the help and support of my coaches and friends. Lastly, I hope that one day I get jump off a plane the same way Indiana Jones did, but with a parachute of course!

I'm excited to serve as captain of the Dunwoody Cross Country team this season, and I look forward to leading others to their full potential. I love being apart of such a supportive group of students and coaches, and I believe we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. With four years under my belt, along with two team state championship titles of 2014 and 2015, I hope to lend some advice and guidance to the rest of the team. Running has been my backbone throughout my years of high school, and I wish upon everyone that they find running cross country to be a memorable experience as I have and pursue it as a lifelong passion.
