It is with great sadness that Phineas Haq – a sophomore at DHS has passed away.
Phineas was a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field Teams at DHS, and loved the sport with so much passion. He ran the 5k, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 4x400, 4x800, Pole Vault, and any other event that was asked of him. Phineas won the Team Beast Award last November, and that is exactly who he was. Phineas was that athlete that showed up early and stayed late. He worked hard every summer and winter off-season so he would be ready. Phineas never missed a practice – and his excitement for the team was contagious. He was the student that everyone wanted to teach, the athlete that everyone wanted to coach, and the person that everyone could rely on. Phineas will be missed greatly, and will forever be a part of the Dunwoody Cross Country Family.
Funeral Services for Phineas will be held on Saturday April 15th at 1:00pm at Dunwoody United Methodist Church.
DUMC Youth will also host a gathering to remember Phineas on Sunday April 9th from 6:30pm -7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to:
