Congratulations to the Cross Country Teams for outstanding performances this past week at the Berry College Clara Bowl. Top 20 finishes were had by Samantha C and Max M. The girls team finished 11th overall, while the boys finished 19th amidst some extremely strong competition. It was a perfect day for racing - a little cooler with a light breeze. Many deer were sighted on the Berry Campus, but even Mr Cameron who finished strong in the open race (and won the coveted tote tube) couldn't catch up to them. A special thanks to our alternate, Connor H, who stepped in at the last moment and had a fantastic race!

This is a busy week for the Wildcats, as many runners will race both Tuesday and Saturday. Students had the option of signing up for a race Tues, Sat, or both, so be sure to ask your runner which race(s) they signed up for. On Tuesday, the Wildcats will race at Druid Hills Middle School again in the 2nd County Race. The bus will leave the DHS Gym at 3:30pm. The 3 mile race will begin at 5:15pm and the 2 mile race will begin at 5:45pm. The bus should return to DHS about 7:00pm.
On Saturday, the team will race at the Roswell Covered Bridge Invitational at Garrard Landing Park (8000 Holcomb Bridge Road Roswell, GA). Due to the ACT test, we will be missing some runners, which will give many runners the opportunity to race at this invitational. There is no bus for this race; and there will be very limited parking - so please carpool. There will be limited onsite parking at Garrard Landing for $10 or free offsite parking one mile west of the venue at Goodwill with free shuttle service. Varsity boys should arrive by 7:00am, with all other runners arriving by 7:25am.

A final reminder that all runners invited on the overnight trip should be sure and let Coach Hendrickson know their status asap so those on the waiting list can be invited if spots open up.
Go Wildcats!
