The JV boys and girls teams both finished 7th among the tough competition in region 7-AAAAAA. The boys varsity team turned in one of its best races of the year, finishing 6th in a field of ranked teams. Their average time was 17:29 - one of the lowest average times in the recent history of DHS Cross Country. Congratulations to Max Mo who finished 6th overall, and will represent Dunwoody at the State Meet. Strong finishes were also put in by Walter H (25th), Cade L (34th), Abner B (38th), Sasha H (39th), Elijah D (43rd), and Andrew R (47th).
The girls’ varsity team faced ranked competition, as well, and rallied for a 4th place team finish. Samantha C finished 3rd, Anna M tied for 6th in a dead heat, and Kelly May S placed 12th for the Wildcats. Nina J (32nd), Emma T (39th), Ahna L (52nd) and Chloe T (53rd) rounded out the scoring for the team. The girls team will move on and represent Dunwoody High School at the GHSA State Meet on November 4th!
Thanks to the Booster Club for providing a picnic lunch at Webb Bridge Park following the region meet. Thanks to all the parents and guardians that came out to cheer on the Wildcats!

Don't forget to mark your calendar for the XC Awards Ceremony Tuesday November 28th. Also if you have a PE Exemption Form, please be sure it is completed, signed by a coach, and turned in to your counselor this week! This is your responsibility. Likewise, if you did not upload your physical to PRIVIT, you should do so ASAP so your winter and spring coaches can access them.
