Hope you're doing well and staying safe. At this point of the summer, you've built a solid running base getting in plenty of miles. It's about time to take that Aerobic Base and use it to strengthen your fast twitch muscles by integrating some Anaerboic Threshold workouts on the track. If you haven't been in communication with a coach over the summer, please email your training log to one of the coaches. In your email, please include the following:
-Name
-Year in School
-Number of Years Running DHS XC (not including this year)
-Best 5k Time (Include Date and Course)
-Current Weekly Mileage
-Running Goals
With the decision to begin school virtually, we are still waiting on guidance from athletics. As soon as we are given updates, we will pass them along here. In the meantime, please continue to run and train on your own under the supervision of your parents/guardians following all CDC guidelines. In addition, please pass this along to any and all interested runners new to the school.
