"The Wildcats started another promising season on Saturday at the Peachtree Ridge/Walton Stage Races in Duluth. This two-mile race is a great way some of our Varsity and JV athletes to race against quality competition and get them fired up for the upcoming season. On the boys side, standout performances were posted by Noah Goldstein and Benson Ross
in the Varsity races, and Cullen Jones and Jackson Watson in the JV races. The girls team was led by excellent Varsity performances from Ann-Marie Sills and Ellie Conoley, and several JV girls finished top 10 in their individual races, including 8th grader Samantha Cameron, Ellie Canalichio, and Elizabeth Hardister. New Fleece for the Dunwoody XC team. $30. Order for Fleeces due Sunday, August 25th. (see email on previous post)
We had a great turn out at the parent meeting Tuesday night. It’s very exciting that our team has grown so much and we appreciate your patience as we make adjustments based on our size. We estimate that we are at 175 runners, we had planned for 120!
We have already placed a reorder for team tee shirts and lanyards (included in team dues) and hope to have them within two weeks. We will deliver them to practice.
We are ordering more uniforms this weekend so the deadline for uniform orders is Sunday! We will not be ordering extra so please be sure to let us know if your runner needs a uniform. We ran out of a number of sizes Tuesday night and will fill all orders. We will let you know when to expect them. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for uniform orders.
New for this season, we have a fleece pullover embroidered with Dunwoody Cross Country for $30 (available in woman’s cut and unisex cut). Those morning meets can get awfully cold! Check our website for a picture. Fleece orders are due this Sunday as well. Email email@example.com for fleece orders.
