The varsity races saw great performances all around, as the boys finished 13th out of 21 teams and the girls placed 7th out of 18 teams in very competitive fields. The boys team was aided by a great race from Jerrett Lupoli, while the girls were paced by Kelly May Sheehan, who finished 13th in an excellent field.
In the JV championship races, the boys finished 11th out of 19 teams and saw great races from Jackson Watson and Brandon Shockley. The girls team finished an impressive 5th out of 14 teams, and were led by Chloe Thomas, who had a great race, finishing 18th overall.
In the remaining First Year Runner race and Open race, the Wildcats saw great efforts from many on the team, some of whom were running their first 5K (on one of the toughest courses in Georgia!). On the boys side, Jason Hughes, Leighton Chen, and Ethan Rudnicki were just a few who had great performances. On the girls side, Lauren Caplan, Julia Echols, and Rachel Wolfson produced memorable results in their respective races. Great races by all, and thanks to all of the parents and students who came out to cheer on the Wildcats!

On Friday, about 45 of the Wildcats will head to Greenville, SC for the Furman XC Classic on Saturday. Because of this trip, there will be no practice (morning or afternoon) this Friday. We will send out more information about the Furman meet and trip specifics later in the week.
As always, thanks for your support of Dunwoody XC, and it was great to see a large turnout for today's meet!
Go Wildcats!
