Yesterday, our fearless Wildcat runners competed in the Region 4 6A Championships. Every runner gave their race all they had, and the coaches could not be prouder of the courage they showed on the course.
The Varsity Girls placed 5th with a score of 107 points in the first race of the day. Despite some setbacks this season, the top girls put it all on the line yesterday and did not go quietly. HUGE congratulations to Claire Shelton for finishing 3rd overall and earning an individual qualification to compete at the State Meet in 2 weeks in Carrolton!
The Varsity Boys placed 6th with a score of 129 points. All 7 of those boys put everything they had into that race and showed some grit as they tried to hang on the 2nd and 3rd miles.
The JV Girls were next and placed 4th with a score of 109 points! Congratulations to Abby Reams for placing 4th overall! These runners have a very bright future ahead!
The JV Boys ended the day with a huge comeback in the third mile to secure a 1st Place finish with a score of 39 points! Major congratulations to Parks Rohletter for placing 1st overall and leading the boys to their victory! These young men made a statement to our region with such a great race!
